Everything parents and young coders need to know about Avenue Library Code Club.

When does the club run?

The club runs every other Saturday, term time only, on the weeks between Newton Heath Code Club. We take a break during the summer and Christmas. The most accurate timetable is on our Club Dates page.

How long does code club run for?

2 hours — 10am until midday.

Do I need to pay?

Avenue Library Code Club is free to attend.

Who can attend?

We welcome all children aged 9+. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay during the 2-hour session.

Where is the club based?

Avenue Library Code Club is based at Avenue Library and Learning Centre in Blackley, Manchester. The library is connected to Tesco — if you're coming by car you may want to use the Tesco car park. Google Maps →

Is equipment provided?

During the session your child will be provided with a laptop, computer, iPad, robot, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit or other technology we're using that day. These are first come, first served. Your child may bring their own laptop at their own risk. All library equipment stays at the library at the end of the session.
